There are many individual contributors working hard to please senior management at this company. The main motivation is money; the company has a bonus structure that can be generous, as long as your leadership gives you good yearly reviews.

Cons

The department thrives on heroic efforts. There are so much politics in the IT department, I often worked with fellow employees who were in fear of losing their jobs, previously demoted, or complained of prolonged burn out.
