Pros

- Feels great to pay people, from the highest A-lister you love to watch on screen, to the below the line salt of the earth doing their part to make things happen. - Its very easy to get involved and take ownership of your processes...just don't screw up and you can make your ideas happen and see them fruit good results. Now whether you get credit for them...meh... - There are some employees here that have been here for a while and have a helpful attitude

Cons

- If you know what you are doing, people will start to lean on you heavily, even if things are technically not your responsibility as there are different ways to get things done here...you will get busy and stay busy - a lot of managers seem like they are over their head, they don't train their staff they just manage their relationship with their boss - HR policies are starting to make a good thing not as attractive (e.g. return to office mandate, ridiculously small wage increases offered for promotions) - There is more budget to hire new staff versus promote or increasing wage of productive employees which leads to bad hires and decreased morale. - Lots of deadweight in teams that have ~10 people that supposedly have the same role. We know who actually does the work and who doesn't.

Pros

-Hybrid work -Casual environment -SOME good managers (You either get lucky and get a really good manager or vet a horrible one)

Cons

-low pay, extremely low bonuses -no longer covers full cost of basic health insurance -extremely limited PTO days -Management is now less flexible with people WFH is they are sick or unable to come to the office on days that employees are supposed to be in person. They will force you to take PTO or use your very limited sick time even if you have a minor cold or stomach problems that won’t necessarily stop you from doing your job but will prevent you to be there in person. -If you have a bad manager you WILL NOT get promoted regardless of how hard you work. -They hire their analysts as “assistants” but then expect them to do a job of an associate completely independently… they use the title “assistant” to justify underpaying people. The pay makes this job not worth it unless you have no experience and really want to get into the entertainment industry.
