Pros

EP Overpays and is very slow to take action on underperformers so you can basically hang around forever if you don't make too much. EP has decent health benefits that are free/cheap

Cons

EP is now mostly a collection of discarded employees and old systems that were rejected from other industries, organizations, and companies and have congealed together into one necrotic scab on the entertainment industry. They are sure to sell soon which will cast the industry into more disarray similar to their acquisition of the other payroll company a few years about but on a much larger scale.

Pros

Relaxed work attire. Holidays celebration.

Cons

You are totally on your own. Doing a good job will not save you fron being laid off , no matter how much Hard work and long hours you put in or how excellent work relationship you got going with your teammates and your manager, if your name comes up the list of lay off, your manager will be the first to sign off on it. Also, Since it is an employee owned company, you will be let go before you get get fully vested in the company, 5 years, so you will not collect any shares,. However, if you are one of the good old boys, executives, or a low paid employee with no ambition or whatsoever then you are off the radar.

Thank you for providing your honest feedback. The process leading up to termination is extensive with many checks and balances between Talent and department leadership before any action is taken. We are proud to be 100% employee owned. With the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), employee owners are given shares at the end of their first year in the planand become fully vested after 6 years . An employee would only walk away without shares if they left before becoming partially vested after two years in the plan. We strive to foster a diverse and collaborative workplace, with many celebrations throughout the year. We’re glad you enjoyed the holiday celebrations! Please feel free to contact talent@ep.com if you would like to discuss anything further.

Pros

Location makes an easy commute to just about anywhere in LA. They have big pot lucks with lots of food.

Cons

Executives don't care about the employees. They hold pot lucks and pass out gift cards, then quietly lay off people including people on Disability. HR and Upper Management are missing the same ethical bone, it's disturbing.

Thank you for speaking out. We love our potlucks, which can really be a great opportunity to let your hair down and mingle with other departments. Our executives care tremendously about our employees – they are our greatest asset. It’s true that we’ve had a significant amount of change recently and that in order to realign our departments, we’ve needed to let go of some talent. It is extremely disturbing to hear that you feel there are instances of misplaced ethics since we work hard to uphold the highest ethical standards at all times. We truly appreciate your service and would welcome more information from you as to what you mean. To discuss any of these issues further, please contact our Talent department at talent@ep.com.
