      Nice place to work, but lacking in substance in many key areas

      Pros

      -Friendly people -Fun events -Decent comp/benefits -Solid history of innovating and disrupting the multifamily industry -Good autonomy to get your work done

      Cons

      -Leadership is poor at cultivating talent; lack of career path is a common complaint -Lots of new middle management has been injected recently and the org seems to be heading to more cooks in the kitchen and more product silos -Very few leaders are effective at clearing blockers and getting real results -Too much favoritism, not enough meritocracy -Dearth of key technical resources such as data science and front end devs -User data is fragmented and practically unobtainable -Lots of emphasis on longevity and loyalty, not much emphasis on significant product wins -Overwhelming majority of engineers are in India and the gap in communication, culture, mindset, and alignment slows down product work -There are so many projects across the company it seems there is little focused progress in any given area -401k match is subpar

      Going to have to fire me if I'm gonna leave

      Pros

      I love working with my team overseas. It's been a great opportunity to learn culturally about India and a great experience. My job is very flexible and I'm able to manage my own time.

      Cons

      Where do I begin? My job was great at first. Got to manage a team from India and had the opportunity to learn new skills and grow. That all changed when new execs came in the door and started changing my job description and demanded new job qualifications without talk of any pay change or consideration to my personal life. It doesn't really matter though bc the way entrata runs things, I don't feel like my job is really threatened and I'm not gonna quit. They can try to get me to leave, but I'm not going anywhere. I don't respond to intimidation.

      Change can be Good

      Pros

      I’ve been at Entrata for over 5 years and I can honestly say that the company, culture and leadership have gotten leaps and bounds better in the last year. Lots of changes, but they are so good. It’s a breathe or fresh air. I feel safe at work. I’m treated like a person, not just an employee. Thank you for pushing for change, even if not everyone deals well with it. I have been very happy to see a parental leave policy added (when there wasn’t one at all prior). And I’m excited for the change of Flex PTO next year.

      Cons

      Having only yearly salary increase is difficult and pay is still a bit low. But I hope to see changes here soon.
