Hello, and a belated thank you for taking the time to share your perspective with us here! We are so happy to see that your overall review of the company is so strong; however, we are disappointed to hear that at times you do not feel empowered. As we are sure you have heard many times since joining us, being a publicly traded company does have an impact on our day to day business operations and strategy, which can create a challenging balancing act at times. We want our leaders to be true subject matter experts with strong business acumen and decision-making authority; we know you know your community and residents better than anyone! With that being said, we have a level of accountability to our shareholders, which does require that a certain degree of checks and balances are put into place for decision-making. We never want our employees to feel in the dark about why a decision was made; if you feel leadership is moving too fast and neglects to communicate the “why,” please don’t hesitate to ask for clarity.
