Pros

Average Benefits They wont fire anyone - even if you should be (more of a con, but hey if you're someone who constantly worries about losing their job or don't want to do anything and not be fired for it Erie is for you)

Cons

Poor salary No full time remote work options CEO and HR refuse to adapt and seem to think this company should remain the same as it was in 1985 Blatant favoritism and nepotism Inability to retain young talent who will carry the company into a successful future

Pros

No layoffs, possible yearly raises

Cons

Pay is terrible, extremely demanding work environment, too few adjuster, NO work/life balance, no flexibility in time, promotions seem to be based of nepotism, raises are minor, high expectations with no legitimate training, very stressful Work environment, management not open to employee suggestions, if an employee is struggling they just expect that employee to suck it up and get the job done, if you have a complaint that only you have voiced management will tell you “no one else has had this issue” and then not help you, very few minorities work here, little to no reward or recognition for hard work, no encouragement to strengthen peer bonds, they pay less but offer more benefits that are really not that useful.

Pros

Company car Good pay (if you negotiate)

Cons

Cut throat Company wants you to average 39 claims a month, which you’ll do way more but will justify not hiring more people on account it was an “abnormally stormy year” Will not seek outside help from independent adjusting firms during weather events. Has gotten more stingy with claims since becoming more “corporate” and data/ metrics driven No longer the “hometown local insurance company” it used to be
