Pros

The non management, non clinical staff is very nice.

Cons

A "leadership" team from other states who dictates and berates the employees. Very high turn over. Have seen DNO, COO, and nurse manager resign in a 3 month period. They were the smart ones that decided to run the heck up out of here!!! They harass employees constantly and instead of managing, they spend the entire workday trying to figure out what dirt to catch people up in. Work life balance?!?!? Huge joke. They took away self scheduling and will not allow people to take rightfully earned vacation.

Pros

Really good salary especially for new grads, good benefits and earned time off. Beautiful facility, great therapy gym and equipment. In house continuing education, Great sign on bonus

Cons

This company seems to lack leadership in senior management. There is a lot of drama and distrust in the facility as a whole with a high rate of employee turn over. Ive seen many great members of the nursing staff leave due to unfair practices and or bullying on the part of senior staff members. Overall there is a lack of leadership in this company and although there tends to be a focus on the guiding principles, they are rarely upheld. They talk about teamwork and for the most part based on my interaction and experiences Ive seen decent teamwork from a few of the members. It's either hit or miss with the staff, especially nursing. They are either really good or really crappy. Therapy department was overworked with a poor work life balance. Ive ended up working 9 days in a row at times. While on salary the expectation is that you work longer hours than you actually get paid for without any overtime. Ive seen many great therapists burn out, injure themselves, or just plain quit because of the stress of the job and the intensity of patient Care. This company seems to be more concerned about their case mix index and maximizing patient outcomes as well as decreasing their SNF discharge than actually caring for their employees and staff according to patient needs. Overall, I think people really hate it here and are very dissatisfied with the company, however they stay because there arent many other options in the area.

Pros

The rehab staff is focused on patient care and outcomes.

Cons

Horrible work culture. Write up capital of the world. As others have said, the managers have no background or experience. The place is like a revolving door for employee turn over because of the poor management. They will suck the life out of you. Very very burdensome paperwork requirements beyond the required. I guess that is because the place is a therapy mill and corporate's only focus is on money more than outcomes.
