The local staff at the hospitals are amazing rockstars and are basically building houses with little to no resources, help or guidance from the regional leadership.

Cons

This is this most dysfunctional and disorganized company I have ever worked for. You're expected to move mountains with no tools, no support and ridiculous deadlines. And if you don't meet corporate's expectations they get upset and call you a "bad employee". Example: projects and reports due within 48 hours on top of meeting your day-to-day job expectations. They will ask for projects but no one ever explains what exactly is needed so giving it your best is never good enough. You'll get beat down and abused until you quick so they don't have to fire you. The truly sad part is EVERYONE that works in the hospital feels this way and they are all slowly looking for new jobs and leaving.

Certainly concerning to see your feedback and what your experience seemed to be. At the national and local level we've been trying new ideas and innovations with workstreams and projects and moving them along much faster due to the pandemic and the need to change how we're doing things incredibly quickly to meet the high caseload demands based on the feedback from our people. I can understand how it can feel the way you described given how quickly things are moving and changing as we become a more agile organization. At the time, I needed the flexibility of the hours. Other than than I cannot think of a single good thing.

Cons

I was bullied by another coworker. I told my supervisor numerous times, and nothing was done. It got to the point that I was physically threatened, and nothing was done about it. This affected me in every aspect of my life and is something I can never forgive. Please, if you care about your mental health do NOT work here. Management does not care about you. Bullying is a regular Occurrence. The pay is terrible. The staff turnover is extreme and all of the experienced staff have left.

It was such a great company with such a great culture. Not anymore. The people you work with at original recipe Ethos are amazing. It’s sad to see everyone be so disengaged and defeated now.

Cons

NVA has torn down almost everything good built by ethos and destroyed the amazing culture we once had. Their focus is purely on profit for the big guys and do not care about the pet owner experience or the staff. They care only about investors and growing. It’s heartbreaking to witness this takedown. NVA management continues to say they care about collaboration but decisions and new jobs are decided on above and handed down. It’s a cold and deeply mediocre work environment. If “take the easy way out” was a work culture it would be this new ethos. They continue to make decisions that break functions and processes and give a much lazier end product.
