Pros

Lots of different kinds of clients, industries and areas to work in. Recently acquired by Eurofins which means there are more opportunities to work in a global environment. Daily tasks change so you can find lots of ways to challenge yourself and keep busy during working hours. Everyone leaves on time at the end of the day which is a huge plus compared to many other companies with demanding turn around times. Decent benefits package and bonus structure.

Cons

Can get very busy, but this is good to help you stay on your feet and learn more about time management techniques that any employer needs.

Pros

The workload can be a lot but if you get everything done then the bosses are happy and leave you alone. Possible OT off shifts can be picked up. Not working with the general public.

Cons

The pay is fairly low but there isn't much competition in Des Moines. Some of the Tech jobs are definitely better than others and the pay doesn't reflect that. Can be forced into picking up someone's slack.

Pros

I'll update if I can think of one.

Cons

Worst environment I have ever worked in. Management always agreed with client in West Point, PA even when client was unethical. High turnover rate too. We were all treated like staff - not scientists. They didn't give me my break which is a legal requirement. They let unqualified people do assays (and by unqualified - I mean those who have not passed the basic training necessary to work on GMP assays). Pay was not comparable either. I can honestly say that this was the worst job I have ever had in my life, because the people were horrible and the management was petty. No room for advancement either since there was a stigma associated with being a Eurofins Scientific employee.
