Pros

The benefits are okay. You also get free crappy food once a month. Not worth it though if you weigh the cons. If you like training people, hate being appreciated for your hard work and over time, enjoy drama from coworkers then this is your job. Because everyone leaves after you finish training them, no one cares if you work hard unless it reflects badly on them and if there’s drama in your department, deal with it no ones cares about you and the person harassing you gets to keep on doing it.

Cons

Pay isn’t great Forget about moving up if that’s what you’re hoping for unless you suck at communicating and have no experience in managing then I’m sure you’ll do great. You get no recognition and if you do it’s because you actually received one of the two “real” managers in the company (lucky you). They don’t care about you, there’s a guy working here that smells his chemicals and samples...(he works with heavy metals...not good for brain cells) the managers know about it but won’t do anything. Moving him away from the test would be smart...but Eurofins doesn’t care. YES I’ve mentioned this to the manager and he said he’s been informed and then nothing came of it.

Pros

A good way to get experience; a company that really seems to value and care about the employees; semi-flexible schedule; good benefits; fair pay; ability to grow and learn; opportunities to network

Cons

A lot of onboarding training/reading to do on the computer, but even still you'd likely find that with any comparable job. It was tedious, but definitely important.

Low pay, high stress

Pros

PTO is good. The benefits are decent. Coworkers are friendly.

Cons

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories is run like a sweatshop. Corporate officers fully acknowledge that the pay is low yet they do nothing about it. They have quarterly rewards like a free order of french fries, but your salary increases per year don't even cover the cost of living increase. The starting salary is like a slap in the face. The starting salary for the Department in which I work is widely known to be at least $20,000 per year below industry standards. Management recognizes the disconnect, but nothing is ever done. In fact, the corporate greed is growing at alarming levels. They put higher and higher demands with each year for growth and instead of using that company to invest in maintaining employees, they build new buildings and only seek to line their own pockets. As soon as the opportunity presents itself, I will be leaving with a smile on my face.
