Thank you for your feedback and for the contributions you made during your time at Evolve. We're glad to hear you found value in remote flexibility, your compensation, and the support from your direct manager—those remain important parts of the experience we aim to create. We take feedback from our teammates seriously and hold all Evolvers accountable for living up to our value of COHAD (Communicate Often, Honestly, and Directly); that starts with our Leadership Team. Over the past year we’ve implemented twice-monthly all-company AMAs to create more direct access and transparency, as well as an open #ideaexchange channel where any Evolver can share ideas to improve the customer experience and how we operate. We’ve received strong engagement and positive feedback on these forums, and we’ll continue building on them to ensure teammates feel heard and informed. Thank you again for your time at Evolve. We wish you the best in what’s next.

Still Struggling

Pros

Remote work is a bright spot. Colleagues are friendly and talented. People genuinely care about guests and one another even when leadership falters. Culture is young, energetic, and casual. People early in their careers can get some experience in customer service or operations.

Cons

The company doesn't know what it wants to be. There's talk of innovation, culture, and values, but in practice, it's chaotic. Leadership changes direction constantly. Priorities shift without explanation. Micromanagement is everywhere. Decisions are top-down. Attempts to question or suggest improvements is viewed negatively. People keep their heads down and are afraid to speak up. Those that speak up are next on the layoff list. Pay doesn't match the workload or expectations. They can't afford to increase wages but executives are hired at inflated salaries. Then teams are trimmed to the bone, leaving fewer people to do more work under tighter deadlines. Morale has declined. Talented people have left. Those who stay are ready to get out. It’s a shame, because there were genuinely good colleagues but the leadership environment crushes that energy.

Thank you for your feedback and for the contributions you made during your time at Evolve. We’re glad to hear you found value in the flexibility of remote work and the care and talent of your teammates—those are core parts of our culture that we work hard to protect. We recognize that operating in a high-performance, customer-obsessed environment means moving fast, evolving often, and setting a high bar. But that only works when it’s paired with clarity, consistency, and trust. When those pieces are missing or misaligned, we know it can create confusion—and that’s not the culture we’re building. Over the past year, we’ve made focused changes: improving how we communicate priorities, developing stronger leaders, and realigning how we evaluate performance to ensure we’re rewarding impact and supporting growth. There’s more work to do, and we’re committed to it. Thank you again for your perspective. It helps us move forward with greater focus and accountability.

A Masterclass in Gaslighting, Burnout, and Failed Leadership

Pros

Some genuinely kind and talented peers who are doing their best despite impossible workloads. You’ll learn how much you can tolerate before breaking, which is… something.

Cons

Evolve is a case study in how to disguise exploitation as “high performance.” Management preaches culture and transparency while quietly forcing out anyone who dares to ask for fair pay or realistic expectations. Most teams are doing the work of three people for salaries that don’t even come close to market rate. Leadership’s “direction” changes weekly, often contradicting itself, and feedback is mostly treated as defiance. Promises of growth and opportunity are empty talking points; the reality is micromanagement, shifting goals, and a constant undercurrent of fear. The “high performance culture” simply means: do more work for less money or prepare to be pushed out. It’s degrading, demoralizing, and unsustainable.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found connection with your teammates—that’s something we continue to prioritize across Evolve. We want to be clear: Evolve is intentionally built as a high-performance, customer-obsessed organization. That means we set ambitious goals, operate with urgency, and hold ourselves—and each other—accountable to outcomes. We know that environment isn’t for everyone, and we respect that. We also recognize that performance environments must be matched with clarity, consistency, and support. That’s why we’ve taken meaningful steps to improve how we communicate expectations, develop managers, and support growth and development across our teams—while continuing to uphold the standards that drive results for our customers and opportunities for our people. We appreciate your perspective and the time you spent at Evolve.
