Pros
Take this disclaimer seriously... Every positive review has common themes. Look for them. They are mostly written by fan boys of the company and these are mostly either people treated well by execs because you are part of the clique or you haven't worked in the industry for too long and you think this is what good culture and business growth is. Having been at Exabeam for a while, I can tell you having seen different ebbs and flows, the negative reviews do have honesty and merit behind them. So now that we got that out of the way... Let me try to be objective here. The positives are... 1. If you are in cybersecurity space or want to be, this is a great brand name to have on your resume because outwardly this company is firing on all cylinders when I speak to people. They look like a rocket ship pointed towards the right direction 2. Very good people below the exec level. If you speak to the people actually doing all the work, they are great human beings. Somehow they managed to hire people that work well and you want to hang out with although this is changing since we went from 50 to 100 to upwards of 300 people now 3. One of the products has done well. That's one out of three. More on this in the cons section 4. Lunch on Wednesdays if that makes a difference for you 5. Great talented though highly political sales team. Pretty much the reason why the company has had a few successes till now. They seem to somehow make their numbers. More on this later

1. Extremely political environment 2. First time founders, not necessarily a bad thing because they managed to find a niche in the market. The issue is with their massive egos like they are in their 3rd or 4th serial startup. They again engage within the clique but don't trust anyone outside. I understood operating that way when we were 40 or 50 people but that's not a smart approach now if you can't trust your employees 3. There is absolutely no accountability for bad performance if you are within the clique or you are a liked employees. 4. There is one product that hasn't got off the ground and has been a disaster putting it mildly, but no decision makers for that product have faced any consequences. 5. Different organizations have varying levels of success and insanity. Morale in engineering is at an all time low. Customer success is a high speed train without breaks heading towards a cliff. Product management needs an overhaul and putting it bluntly this company will be driven to the ground if they don't quickly get a chief product officer or a VP of product from the outside who can clean house 6. The way the founders operate tends to constantly alienate good talent. So yes quite a bit of internal churn even within e-staff 7. There was a big focus on working without ego and having transparency in the early days. Lack of ego was never there within the founders and in the clique but people put up with it early on. It gets very difficult to do any meaningful work now with this kind of behavior rampant. The transparency used to exist in all hands, etc.. Not anymore. Days of nothing but success are gone. There are failures and when that happens we don't hear anything about it 8. Listening to demands of sales to close deals with false promises to customers has derailed the company's journey 9. They are very stingy on pay and stocks There's more to share but I think this gives you a good idea. If you still feel that there is some upside to join Exabeam then you write your own fate though you have been forewarned
