Ever downward

Pros

None now. This used to be a great place to work. So much has changed. The company is being run into the ground.

Cons

Layoffs continue. Laid off another 45 people including many who have been there over 20 years and dedicated their life to Excelsior. No loyalty to employees. Cut benefits, cut pay, cut people. But kept people in the unit causing most trouble. Poor management decisions. Poor reorganization.

A Toxic Work Environment

Business Outlook

Pros

The coworkers are exceptional, bringing innovative ideas and a strong work ethic to the team. Additionally, the flexibility to work in a hybrid or remote environment is a significant advantage.

Cons

The institution is plagued by significant issues, particularly at the level of executive leadership. The leadership team is characterized by a lack of integrity, frequently engaging in contradictory behavior and disseminating misinformation. Trust is severely compromised, as many individuals appear more focused on advancing their careers than fostering a collaborative environment. There is a pervasive attitude within the executive leadership that views employees as expendable, which is reflected in their frequent shifts in direction and the imposition of unrealistic expectations. Constructive feedback is not welcomed and often results in punitive actions by HR. Additionally, there is a recurring use of threats of termination, contributing to a toxic work environment that undermines morale and fosters a culture of distrust.
