Don't Be Fooled

Pros

Free yoga/core fusion classes, half-off pay day discount for popular athletic brands (Lulu, Nancy Rose, etc.)

Cons

Management is shallow, secretive and catty. Executive level management is even worse. The soul/zen/self-love attitude that they market is the polar opposite of their internal actions. The trickle-down of important information, promotions, etc. from corpo to each location is incredibly slow and inefficient. This, in combination with the high-maintenance, thankless guests and even less appreciative management makes this quite possibly the worst place to work. Additionally, the location I worked at was falling apart and whenever the facilities broke (once a week) there would be a temporary quick fix put in place as to not dip into the budget. Speaking of which, corners were cut and everyone outside of management was paid dismally, just so the directors and execs could skim off for themselves any left-over budget money at the end of the year.

Pros

There are no pros when a company cares so little about its staff.

Cons

They truly do not care for their employees. Laid off a whole property without notice. No email, no letter, no severance. Couldn't even pay me the hours that I accrued for PTO. This company overall is terrible and truly cannot recommend anyone to work.

Phony Advocates of Health and Wellness

Pros

OK perks, free classes, discounts.

Cons

Terribly out-of-touch corporate overhead and weak leadership/management styles. Overworked (10+ hour days expected for 8 hour salary, no overtime, lunch at your desk expected, etc) and underpaid full time staff. The company executes a phony promotion of health and wellness to consumers; more-so money-hungry 'leaders' without any appreciation for the day to day staff and customers. Shady back-of-house business practices. You'd think after 10+ years they'd iron out the kinks. Sadly just more wrinkles in their outdated cloth.
