Pros

Good benefit for full time employee, including great coverage of health insurance, 401k matching, employee stock matching plan. Good diversity of work force.

Cons

Heavy workload at all time for tiny salary. Upper management retain most of the bonus allocated. Most of my coworkers in my department received bonus enough for 2 weeks of gas money! Uptight working environment. Have to wear tie at all time while going in and out of warehouse to check on shipment. High turn over rate for lower level employee.

Pros

ok for a first job. the experience is good, and many things are done professionally. you get to work with different type of people and a grasp of the logistics industry. in some cases, there are opportunities for growth.

Cons

lots of work and work. very hard to balance work life and personal life. expect to have over times especially if you are a supervisor. sometimes you will need to work weekends. compensation overall is low. old fashioned company.

Pros

Expeditors certainly provides great benefits to their employees as well as competitive compensation. The culture at Expeditors, while not for everyone, is well-defined and professional with an emphasis on accountability and customer service. This company truly does go out of its way to make its customers happy and prospective employees that can agree with that approach will do well here. The senior management also seems to have a clear direction of where they want the business to go as well as a strategy for growth. The stability and growth potential of this company is as good as ever.

Cons

Considering this is a company that prides itself on customer service it can sometimes be frustrating as an employee when expectations aren't always clear and even when understood and exceeded don't necessarily translate into career advancement. It's also a bit odd that for a Fortune 500 company we still don't have an HR department. Instead we have an "Employee Relations" department that is on an inaccessible floor at CHQ and is very difficult to get any help from.
