No life/work balance

Pros

In my position, I am fairly compensated.

Cons

Work load is unmanageable, which creates a very high stress level. Regularly work 12 plus hours a day. Sadly, even doing so you are still behind. It is really competitive to the point that you never know who you can trust. Hard work does get compensated but also gets you more work with even higher expectation. Their is very little concern for employees well being, which is ironic since we are part of the healthcare system. We should know the importance of work/life balance to have happy and healthy employees. Long hours, high stress, lack of sleep and little personal time can have negative effects on your employees physical and mental health. The PTO should just be referred to as flex time because no one covers your load while you are out so you are still working those hours, just at a different time.

Pros

Good peer group, the pay is good but not for the amount of hours worked. The PTO is good but if you take time off it will take weeks to catch up.

Cons

Little to no training, expected to know what you don't know, days off only set you back further, unrealistic workload expectations, frequently pointed in numerous different directions to complete tasks, no accountability, too many temporary employees.
