Pros

Some good people - management is lost

Cons

Management is lost, benefits suck, had to get anything changed or updated. ESI bought out Medco which was a great company to work for very customer and employee oriented. ESI is not either. They don't care - they will look for things to let you go. ESI closed our office in full and put us all on the street - could not get our severance pay correct, could not get our benefits to be paid out to us correct it was a giant mess. ESI feels that there is someone else out there willing to do your job at half the pay or less than what they are paying you and does not care whether or not the new person they hire is qualified for the job - ESI just wants a warm body they don't have to pay a decent wage to. Way too may chiefs and not enough Indians, pay a decent wage. Don't make employees wait on hold for 5 hours to get their medications ordered or to make payments because the number ESI provides to employees is not a valid number and employees end up being transferred until someone is willing to take the call. ESI is not a recommended company for anyone to work at - the amount of errors they make is way too many with orders not being filled correctly, .orders being shipped after the order is cancelled because CS is unable to complete the job of cancelling the order(s) correctly, ESI unwilling to give credit to members for their errors and causing members to go past due and ending up loosing their credit limit due to ESI errors with no way to restore the credit limit to no fault of the member. Most employees are miserable and it shows, favoritism is showed and is blatant, Supervisors do not have a clue and the ones that do are let go. During my first year with them my benefits package changed 4 times because ESI could not get a company to cover their employees at the rate they wanted to pay; thereby, leaving employees to have to pay additional OOP and Deductibles.

Pros

401k, PTO, day shift after a year if you're lucky, tuition reimbursement and sometimes great coworkers. And there's job stability if you keep quiet and stay 'under the radar'.

Cons

Management is deplorable. Supervisors are bred from former incompetent supervisors and their concern for micromanaging instead of quality training is why the Indy location is subpar. If you're not in the "Mommy Club" or a brown-noser, you're not chosen for 'special projects' that are a complete waste of company time. The team morale is non-existent, unless you want to do frivolous things such as pitch-ins and buy cake-pops. And the training consists of incompetent employees training other incompetents. Even supervisors aren't trained in the basic processes.
