Pros

Union Job at my site, because of this we are have a 90/10 insurance plan instead of ESI's default 70/30 plan. Started at 15$hour and make 19$/hour now after 5 years, again I'd thank the union as most ESI Sites start at 10 or 12.

Cons

This is a thankless job. The metric for keeping your job is your rate. Quality has no recorded metric, I've never heard of anyone here getting fired for quality. Back to rate - the only thing that matters is the rate number, did I mention you get credit for either processing the prescription or completely unclearing the whole thing? They call this Defer'ing work which again they dont track and can only be recognized when another employee sees your work and takes the time to Email their supervisor, which doesn't happen, because it slows their rate down. I actually liked the Job when it was Medco. We had quality meetings bi-monthly where we discussed issues, we had prepared meals a few times per year, our birthdays were recognized, our annual Hire date was recognized with a small party with treats, we had bonuses, we received a gift card for christmas, etc. All these things are gone. Did I mention we have a 3 year pay freeze?

Not the worst company I have ever worked for

Pros

Pay is decent, PTO is better than average, some of the fringe benefits are also better than average such as tuition reimbursement, Clean work environment, most of the people I work with. There is decent opportunity for advancement (except in Las Vegas)

Cons

1. Healthcare is far below average but I think that is quickly becoming the norm. 2. Considering we are the largest mail order prescription company (PBM) in the US I think its Pathetic that starting Jan 1, 2014 we have to pay 100% of all prescription cost until our deductible is met. I may as well get my scripts from Canada. 3. Very Poor Top down Communication. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. This is true locally as well as company wide. 4.Senior Management spends money foolishly in some plants or projects while laying off or cutting hours in other parts of the country which tells me that senior level management has absolutely no regard for employees.

Pros

Dynamic company that stays ahead of industry trends. Employs lots of smart, knowledgeable people within the industry. They do solicit feedback from employees.

Cons

Lots of disorganization within mid-level management - particular on the IT side. People are often have "silowed" responsibilities, so it's often tough to find support or the right person for assistance. Sloppy training/preparation of integrating employees.
