Pros

Should receive a severance package soon

Cons

Rated the 2nd worst company in America to work for by the Wall Street Journal. Employee feedback on company survey was so negative, the results were never published. Merger with Medco is a disaster, way too costly and way behind schedule, heads will roll. Cash flow is starting to be a huge problem. Rapidly losing membership lives to private exchanges. Sr. Management starting to panic since they were told they will held directly responsible for the poor results now, not lower level employees. Since they can't grow revenues, they must cut expenses which means mass layoffs by year end. Franklin Lakes building is too costly, trying to get rid of at any cost.

Pros

I earned decent raises, had good hours, good benefits, good PTO, and enjoyed my co-workers. However, these things were not enough to overcome the downsides of working at ES.

Cons

Express Scripts employees are extremely MICRO-MANAGED! Every single minute of your work day is accounted for, even the number of minutes you spend in the bathroom. Supervisors watch over you like a hawk. It is truly pathetic. The company policies are very strict. There is absolutely no work/life balance because they think that your job should be your #1 priority in life. Your work is assessed by your production, and it becomes a very competitive environment. Your competition??? Your teammates. You compete with your own teammates. What a way to create team spirit. The overall morale of the department I worked in was very low. Nobody was happy, just fortunate to have a job. ES doesn't treat you like a person. YOU are not important to them, just the work you do. And if you do not like the way you are treated, tough....you are replaceable. For 7 years, i saw how this company ran their business, and I quickly lost all respect for them. My employment there was just a way to earn an income, and that is really sad.
