Business needs come first, your needs not a consideration
Pros
Good benefits, instant vesting of company share of 401k match. For the level of education needed to be hired, pay is better than working in a retail store and it's an indoor sit down job. If you are a young worker who can attend college and better yourself and maintain the work schedule here, it's a good job. If you are older and have been downsized from a higher paid career that has no chance of coming back, at least the benefits here are good, and you have a comfortable environment, there are not many job choices out there.
Cons
Very hard to get approved time off, even with time in bank, you might get approved for Tues, Wed, Thurs off and get 2 attendance occurrences for Mon and Fri if you plan a real vacation.(and you must remember to call in sick those days or face firing for no call no show). Within department, people who perform fewer job tasks and have not been trained in handling more complicated accounts end up with more overtime and higher bonuses, seems backwards to me, these people basically have a simpler job.
