Pros

During training, everybody is friendly. Believe it or not, there are opportunities for career advancement outside of PCA. They are good at hiring within. Health benefits are exceptional. Now have the option to work from home. 401K

Cons

They only care about production. Customers are generally nasty. Typically, they are called thru a robocall and then minute that a PCA receives the call, the first words out of the patients' mouth is, "You called me". There are times when a issue is resolved and the customer will receive another call. This is an efficiency issue. If you are an empath, the nasty customers will TEAR you apart. Supervisors can be friendly but they only there to hawk you and make sure that you are not in aftercall. Fellow peers are condescending in nature. Some are quick to make assumptions before they gather the evidence. Working in a high call volume environment, you will quickly learn that there are peers that you prefer to speak with over others. When you talk to the good peers, they are good and helpful. The worse of the worse act as if you are being an inconvenience to them. They can be lazy and combative. The majority of pharmacists act like speaking to a patient care advocate is beneath them. System issues can result in ruining the work experience. High call volumes can be stressful, especially when patient care advocates are asked to keep up with all of their emails as well as assist fellow peers who may seek assistance when they have an issue or do not understand a concept. Pay is relatively low when compared to competitors. Raise is more like a cost of living adjustment. No raise was given in 2021, just a meager bonus for $600. The other incentives that they provide are conditional and certain metrics have to be met. More money comes in the form of overtime, where they are quick to offer when it is available. Team leaders will drop what they are doing to ensure that overtime needs are met. Also in 2021, Cigna started to implement mandatory overtime.

Pros

Pay, people that I worked with, and WFH

Cons

There is definitely a "boys club" mentality. If you are not in it you are out. I was laid off based on a project that did not get completed in time due to resource constraints that my immediate supervisor was well aware of and always kept in the loop. I was not part of the "boys club" Work life balance was terrible. The expectation to work 60+ hours per week was the norm.
