Pros

Its a paycheck. Can't really say much more then it beats nit working. Will have to deal with it until next jib somewhere else.

Cons

Upper management does not care about employees. No work/life balance. Not looking to retain hi value assets. Review process is a popularity contest, forget hard work getting you anywhere. Its a house of cards, its a mystery how its still in business.

Pros

*It is better than having no job at all. *401K and ESPP *The people I work with make my day enjoyable. **Based on the reviews I have read, ESI is not high on anyone's list.

Cons

*ESI does not want to pay lower-level people a competitive wage. *Those of us on the frontlines are treated with disrespect and condescension. *ESI seems to believe in having one person do the jobs of 5 people. *ESI wants "quality", but does not want to pay for quality. *Committees are formed to create bogus morale boosters; however, the activities are geared towards upper management! (Now, how does that make sense?)

Worst company I have worked for in the last 20 years

Pros

Ability to work from home.

Cons

This company touts a work/life balance. Untrue, there is absolutely no balance. It has returned to archaic business practices of abusing its best resources, people. The amount of time put in over and above 40 hours is staggering. When it comes to salary and overtime, you do the math, it is not encouraging. No support or leadership from upper management. Rush to get the projects done and deal with the fallout later. Just an apathetic environment. Churn and burn mentality.

Dreadful

Pros

This is a 20 word minimum, no pros to working for ESI

Cons

You will be lucky to get a pay raise annually. The benefits are ok, but not stellar. My supervisor was wonderful which is why I lasted as long as I did. Upper management is the worst thing to happen to the company especially with ESI buying out Medco Legacy.

Pros

My coworkers are the best thing about that job. I love seeing my friends everyday and they are wonderful, friendly people who make the time more bearable.

Cons

The company is so big don't expect to be noticed by management unless someone doesn't like you, then you will always find yourself in a predicament. My manager for 2 years was on my tail so much I got FMLA for stress because of her. When she finally was promoted and I got a new supervisor I was so used to the old way of things I would sneak and hide if I saw her coming while I was on break. I assume it was PTSD from when I was under the dragon lady. What was more unfortunate I think was the fact that there is no check and balance system. When I raised my concerns with HR that she was setting me up to get fired which she was, their response was to tell her what I said and I heard them tell her "You handle it." Needless to say she was not pleased with me after that. The only way I kept my job for the following year while I was still under her was FMLA, remaining stone faced, never spoke to ANYONE and just play dead most of the time. Thinking now how she treated me because I was intelligent and she was threatened by me; it makes me sad and I honestly want to cry about it because I was a great employee and no one above her would check her behavior and now she is upper management.

Heartbreaking

Pros

Vacation time is really good, at least on the Legacy Medco side of things.

Cons

Upper management does not care at all about the employees. Everything is about numbers, to the point where it's detrimental to our customers. They want attainable numbers, but care nothing for sustainable numbers. If you have the audacity to speak your mind, even with data backing you up, they are willing to strip as many privileges away from you as they possibly can. Morale is terrible. I used to work for Medco, and the company was so much better to its employees, and in turn, to its patients. Middle management is in a turn over extravaganza, and everything is falling apart. And the company doesn't seem to care. It's still all numbers, and if we can't stay up to par, even when they throw barriers in our way to slow us down, then we're obviously just not good enough.

Pros

Great co workers, great benefits, love what I do!!

Cons

ESI more demanding and they watch your every move, must be able to account for every moment in idle time. Makes it more stressful, but also makes us accountable. If we do our jobs we don't have to worry about job security.Recognition program now in place makes it nearly impossible to earn enough reward perk points to even redeem your reward points to get anything worth the wait. Miss the wow program. Raise wasnt as good as last year even though I did better overall than past years. Upper management keeps changing things just as we get adapted to it.

It is just a job, not a career

Pros

No nights, limited weekends, no holidays.

Cons

No confidence in upper level management, very poor communication, management has not earned my respect. Accomplishment based solely on rate of order processing. Doesn't matter if you do a good job or a poor job, the faster you turn an order over (albeit correct or still having errors), as long as you can turn over orders quickly, you get brownie points. Pharmacists are not respected for their roles and abilities. I feel like I am being used rather than utilized.
