Pros

Extra Space has cultivated a positive work environment where hard work is rewarded. I love that I get recognition for what I do, and that management recognizes when the job gets difficult. The company is always looking to improve and we are on the forefront of the industry for technology, security, and employee development.

Cons

At this point in my career I will have to relocate to advance in position. That is unfortunate, and I may have to leave if nothing closer comes available.

Relaxed Dress Code; snacks and drinks supplied; coworkers are friendly; decent benefits and retirement packages offered

Cons

The company is not good at communicating changes. There is a definite culture of weeding out employees over the age of 45. There is very little chance of advancement, and you "Cap" out at your position salary within 4 years, raises are 1% per year after that. Schedule flexibility used to be a strong reason to stay, this is no longer true. Salaried employees are treated no differently than hourly employees. There is a culture of harassment and contempt. Management treats employees in a distrustful manner.

Flexible hours. Nice and Friendly sales agents.

Cons

Huge turnover which is normal for a call center. Lots of drama, favoritism and low wages. Your are incouraged to reach a certain percentage of sales and if you don't you will be let go. Do not work here unless you like to be micromanaged and treated like a child.
