Pros

-Good industry exposure in finance and tech. A good job to start with out of college. -Can gain client and technical skills (depending on your role) and can use this as leverage when looking for new opportunities. -Development of soft skills when talking to finance clients all day as they can be difficult, demanding personalities -Challenging at times but you'll develop tough skin and multitasking skills -Onboarding process is great and sets you up for success. -Great colleagues and lots of smart people you can turn to for help (if they haven't already quit... see below) -Benefits were ok. Health insurance could be high for some people depending what plans they chose. 401K match was pretty good. -WFH transition was good. Showed that this company can function fully remotely. -Flexible Time Off policy is good. Don't need to wait to accrue time anymore.

Cons

-Demanding, too time-consuming work and pay is NOT competitive at all to make up for it. -SS&C is a terrible parent company and doesn't care about Eze's employees -Since SS&C became the parent company, Eze needs to follow their promotion/raise and end of year schedules, which is extremely restricting. People are left waiting much longer for promotions or pay raises that they know they deserve and when they tired of waiting, they leave. -Attrition is extremely high, resulting in huge loss of great colleagues who already knew a lot about the software products. -Due to high attrition and loss of employees with product knowledge, clients have even noticed this is affecting what they're paying for and have made comments about it. If clients are starting to say something, this is a REAL PROBLEM. -Upper level management is so out of touch and won't address that attrition is high or that there are any issues going on at all. -Mid-level/team managers who actually care about the people they manage are too overworked and given little resources from upper management to help their teams succeed, so they're stuck in the middle of messes. -Product is oversold to clients and when it doesn't meet their needs/expectations, Client Service is dealing with all the urgent breakdowns and issues. It's such an embarrassing look on the company but Client Service is who gets hit with the initial angry reactions. It's debilitating and stressful. -Certain teams need to work on weekends, holidays, etc. and get NO overtime. If there is any extra pay involved (RARELY), this is only paid once a year so if you quit before this pay out, you will never get that money you are owed. This sounds illegal and is borderline stealing. -Barely any of upper management are involved with any Diversity and Inclusion efforts.

Pros

Some people genuinely care about others at the company and want to help you succeed (though they have zero power).

Cons

The company is run by executives who think we're still in the DotCom bust. Doesn't matter how many times employees bring up major attrition issues, pay problems, or frustrations with handling money saved over the pandemic - in company-wide meetings or 1-on-1s with your manager, they will refuse to acknowledge the problems until it slaps them in the face (aka when clients complain because they notice attrition and it affects their service). Pay has gotten worse and worse, but so has attrition so the the workload is only growing with zero incentive. I give it another 5-7 years before this company is just a bunch of managers + execs and entry level hires. Service is our big sell to clients and I've seen it get really bad as a result of this attrition. Clients will just leave Eze. Would not be surprised if someone at the top is leaving in the next 2 years and just temporarily pushing bottom line at any cost - consequences don't matter if you're not here in a few years, right? If you're any kind of minority, don't work here, you'll be exhausted. ERGs are only important when people are literally dying because of race and it's blasted all over the news. Employees even at the associate level spent weeks pushing execs just to even send out one email of support in light of the police brutality and BLM protests. Nothing was sent out in support of Asian communities when racial violence spiked during covid. Nothing was sent on either issue by the parent company, SS&C. Most people who ran ERGs are mostly gone at this point and there's few (if any) events or discussions to virtually attend. What's pathetic is 'Diversity' was the chosen company-wide focus coming out of employee surveys. The whole company is just an example of performative allyship, don't waste your time trying to change anything because people at the top clearly can't be bothered to put in the effort to learn and grow to be allies themselves, which they should be doing not as part of their job but because they are human beings. TLDR, this company has a problem with ignorant white bro culture, execs believe you would rather be overworked way past burnout in exchange for being paid in beer (which during the pandemic they don't even give so even by that logic, you're underpaid), and it's a sinking ship in terms of people leaving in masses

Pros

Great coworkers who will prove invaluable when it comes to commiserating

Cons

Where to even begin? In order to exceed expectations you’ll have to be burnt out 24/7 and sacrifice countless hours of your personal life/weekends. That is if they like you. If they don’t and they see you working late nights or weekends, they’ll say it’s because you have poor time management skills. Do not expect your direct manager to advocate for you, or even be honest with you about your performance. If you’re a woman, expect sexist micro aggressions daily. Do not expect your mental well-being to be important to your manager or employer. Corporate has invested in a healthcare plan that has dismal mental wellness benefits. Expect an overall tone deafness from the top down as to how current events may impact minority employees - this is a company that sent out a quarterly financial earnings report literally while the US Capital was being stormed by insurgents and one that seems to feel that it doesn’t need to acknowledge a rise in AAPI hate/racism and how that impacts its many Asian employees. Raises are minimal - 1-3% annually. They’ll try to entice you with negligible bonuses and worthless stock options. If you somehow end up a favorite amongst management, you will likely thrive and advance quickly. Working here was nothing short of traumatic and I would strongly advise applicants/interviewees to straight up run in the opposite direction.
