Cons

Not sure where to begin with the list of cons.... Management is awful. They pick their favorites (who are based solely on the numbers they bring in) and if you are not a favorite, you are neglected. You are not shown any tips or tricks to better yourself or your performance. You’re either transferred to the servicing dept or they’ll find a reason to get rid of you all together. The executive management/owners are a complete joke. It’s a family & friends run business so the people put in these high level positions are not skillfully qualified to be in them. They have no direction on treating employees with respect, care, or even dignity. They claim to be great people, they are not. Every single one of them are number driven. They are simply a family who got successful very quickly, and instead of hiring actual leadership for management, they put family members or friends of family in these roles. 100% a company who is quantity over quality. You are not given equal opportunity as other people. Management has no problem speaking down to you in front of others or embarrassing you calling you out if you’re running behind in numbers. If you speak up for how you feel you are essentially cut off from ever growing with the company and they will find any reason to get you out the door or moved to a different dept. They count how many times you leave your chair. Whether it be to use the bathroom, get water, get coffee, just to even stretch your legs, they note it, and then call you out about it later. Any time you are not in your chair at your work station, they note it. If you’re a minute late, they notice. If you punch back in from lunch after 31 minutes instead of 30, they notice. Even when you are in your chair on your work station your activity is monitored. They micro manage you to a point where you become baffled at some of the things they question you on. You are threatened to have things taken away from you. They are constantly restructuring their bonus program, so much to a point where it gets so difficult to even understand it. They have no problem moving things around, people included, and just when you might start to feel settled, things are changed again. Any resources you need to be able to do your job efficiently are your responsibility to purchase for yourself. You are supplied a full computer with a headset. If you want a double monitor, you need to get your own. If you want a wireless headset, you need to get your own. If you need notebooks/pens/highlighters/post it notes you need to buy you’re own. Literally anything you need that will make your performance better you are required to get on your own. They supply you with nothing additional. They give you an old very uncomfortable chair with 0 support and tell you you’re welcome to bring in your own if you don’t like the chair they give you. HR is kind of a joke. Although nice people, they are seemingly only out there because every company needs an HR dept. if you have an actual issue, HR is not on your side. They will always be in favor of FHC. Even if you have medical issues. They will sympathize with you but “at the end of the day, we are a business.” The benefits of the company are not really much of benefits. The health insurance is ridiculously high. Not at all reasonable or affordable. There is no 401k match, no paid FMLA, no paid STD/LTD. Sick time is accrued I believe it is 1 hour for every 30 hours worked. Essentially what that translates to is after one pay period you are given about 2.5 hours of Sick time. You are reprimanded for using it, even with a valid doctors note. No, they will not say anything because you have a valid note, but they will slyly find a way to somehow use it against you and punish you, regardless of how hard you work. Vacation time is not given the entire first year. You have to wait until your 1 year is up before they even make you eligible to take any PTO. In the event you need to take any time out, you are expected to make up those hours. Doesn’t matter what sick time you have available, they expect you to make up the hours missed instead of using sick time. You are again looked down upon if you do use your sick time. Company does not supply any dining essentials. All those you have to provide for yourself as well. Utensil, plates, napkins, etc. All have to be purchased on your dime. Employees have even had to bring in their own Keurig machines for coffee because the company does not even supply coffee. You have to bring in your own k cups for these machines. They supply a water bubbler. That’s it.

Pros

Pay Rate is pretty decent

Cons

If you are 1 minute late they are constantly giving you grief over it. Supervisors and upper management have favorites and other people get the bad end of the stick. You accrue sick time and are frowned upon and reprimanded for using any of it. Constantly decreasing the bonus structure. Management sleeping with employees and having affairs. Not a healthy environment as the building is disgusting and has leaks everywhere. Freezing with no heat and no mini heaters allowed. System/Phones consistently down. Hiring new upper management to implement new procedures and structure when they have no idea what they are doing and making things worse. If you speak up about concerns or question why are things a certain way and they try to do what they can do get you out the door. Company is just trying to fill chairs since the turnover rate there is ridiculously high, thus you work with idiots who don't know what they are doing and have nothing else better to do but gossip. You behind in goal? no approved OT for you but yet people on pace to hit goal get approved OT as a reward. At times have unrealistic expectations.
