Pros

They spend quite a bit of money on the holiday party at the end of the year.

Cons

No bonuses so they can provide everyone with a nice holiday party at the end of the year. I honestly felt like my group and I were lost in the shuffle. The culture tends to be if you aren't Sales, Project Mgmt, or Implementation, you just fade in the background. There's also tons of miscommunication between time zones as there is a lot of interaction between teams in EMEA, India, and Philippines.

We appreciate the time you have taken to write your review. As a company with more than 53,000 employees in more than 130 countries it can be difficult to ensure that no employee feels siloed. We recently launched Yammer, an internal social media tool, to give employees a platform to collaborate and communicate globally. Yammer also exposes employees to other business units and regions. We also know from the results of our recent People Survey that our transparency and communication need improvement. We’re working with our leaders to ensure this is addressed so that employees stay well-informed.

Pros

It's easy to stay anonymous in a company of 60,000 people. The CEO is a great guy. FIS corporate is not bad, but the individual business units, which comprise 90+% of employees are a bad joke of a company.

Cons

FIS is a holding company for software firms that they buy. The good people that were at these companies leave, and you're left with the last picks, which quickly assume management roles. They, in turn, lie about the future to employees to keep them brainwashed into staying, and lie to you during the interview process about your role.

Though we are disappointed to hear about your experience thus far, we appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. Any time we have an acquisition, we carefully and thoughtfully integrate new employees into FIS, which can take some time. This includes migrating systems, benefits, etc. to account for the combined workforce. Programs and benefits are reviewed often and designed for a workforce 53,000 strong. We also encourage all our employees to contact their People Partner, if inadequate support from management is a concern. As part of our world-class organization, we like to ensure that every employee feels comfortable under the direction of their leader and is supported in their daily work.
