Pros

Average benefits and average salaries.

Cons

IT department is a mess. Management’s only concern is their bonus. No respect or care for anyone’s well being or family life. Employee survey is meaningless. Cut backs every year which leaves even more work for those remaining. Management by fear. Work every weekend.

Thank you for your candid feedback and we have shared your post with our senior HR team in Illinois. While there is no way to know if you have ever escalated any of your concerns through the multiple formal channels available at FIS. Should you want to discuss any of your concerns, you may reach out to speak to someone from The People Office. To address your comment on salaries, FIS has a formal pay review process each year. The increase an employee may receive through this process considers several things – including evaluation of the employee’s performance, their existing pay compared to the range for their role and the company’s budget for increases. In terms of benefits, we’ve made several investments in recent years as we focus on employee wellbeing and increasing consumerism. These changes include a new parental leave policy, and other competitive health benefit packages.

Toxic environment, mediocre benefits

Pros

Good base salary Business casual dress code

Cons

Toxic management environment where someone else is always responsible. Once you step up to take ownership of one thing, you’re suddenly expected to take on even more. The 401k is at Vanguard so all the funds are low cost, but there is a low employer match to help employees prepare for that eventually. They charge $50 per pay period fee on top of the premium if you want to cover your spouse/significant other and they’re able to get other coverage. That’s $600 wasted funds for the year. The whole company seems to operate in a “he said” “she said” “that’s not me” mentality. It’s rarely about doing the right thing for the client but how we can bill them more.
