Pros

Below the executive team, there are great people. Some of them try very hard to do the right thing for the product and clients.

Cons

Company grows through acquisition, and everything is about headcount. Product development is not the goal of the company, so do not expect to be part of something cutting edge. Environment is poisonous as there are those who were bought and are being squeezed to produce more with less, and executives reap tremendous salaries and bonuses that do not seem to make it down to the worker bees. Living in the middle, it is very difficult to produce on behalf of the client as resources are minimal, even though high expectations are set. To really sum it up for the average employee - it's a life of pain as you wait for the next quarterly RIF.

Pros

Superiors are great to work for

Cons

Awful merit raise increases. 0.5 to 2%. Insulting for the salaried professional clocking 60+ hours weekly.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. You mentioned less salary and merit increases as a con. FIS’ compensation philosophy strives to provide competitive pay around the world in the regions we operate – with an emphasis on rewarding performance, to help us attract, engage, and retain the best talent. We have a formal pay review process each year. The increase an employee may receive through this process considers several things – including evaluation of the employee’s performance, their existing pay compared to the range for their role and the company’s budget for increases.

Pros

You get a paid break.

Cons

Management is extremely biased and discriminates freely. Pay rate is absolutely not competitive for the industry. Raises are nonexistent. Equipment and job tools are not maintained at all and attempts from employees to address these issues, are ignored and dismissed. Employee concerns are completely dismissed if you aren't in the managements personal favor.

Thank you for your candid feedback. Fostering and cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce is critical to FIS’ continued success. FIS is committed to the philosophy that all of our employees are entitled equal employment opportunities, including promotions and career development to managerial roles, without regard to race, color, religion, age, gender, and/or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. We regularly review our diversity demographics for both promotions and managerial appointments. We use this information to inform and further refine our inclusion and diversity strategy and efforts. We encourage employees to report any discriminatory actions to The People Office. In terms of salary, we have a formal pay review process each year. The increase an employee may receive through this process considers several things – including evaluation of the employee’s performance, their existing pay compared to the range for their role and the company’s budget for increases. Lastly, we are committed to making sure our employees’ voices are heard which is why we deploy an annual People Survey as a tool for employees to address their concerns. Managers at all levels can view comments and results left by their team so they are aware of improvements needed.
