      Pros

      Love the job itself! I love being able to have freedom to listen to the students and staff and cook what is just right for them. I don't have to follow recipe cards like other companies although if I ever need one there is an extensive database. I enjoy having quality of life with FLIK, I give my job 100% when I am there, but when I leave I focus on my life and family. The benefits and wages are competitive with other companies and are more than fair.

      Cons

      Sometimes in a management position you can feel a little overwhelmed by the paperwork however; I feel that there is always someone I can call within the region or corporate who can answer any questions I may have.

      Pros

      We have a clear Flik culture that distinguishes us from the competition. Even though we are part of the Compass Group, we never made to feel like we were assimilated and lost our company identity. We contract with great companies to provide our services and they appreciate what we bring to the table.

      Cons

      Though I've seen more of it in the past few years, I think we can do a better job of diversifying upper management. Though we retain our corporate identity, we are still dependent on Food Buy to select our vendors and MOGS.
