Pros

You can make good money there but it will take a long time. If you are fresh out of college, no family and just want something for your resume then great, go for it. Other departments are great, good managers and great co-workers, this is just about sales.

Cons

Not a great selling environment at all, it's a sales last company. Any good size deal there takes 3+ years to close and close to year to get paid on it.

Pros

I was attracted to the building and the location. The job was OK but the product is an example of good intentions gone horribly wrong. The team I work on is one of the largest at the company. There are some great people with great talent. Cubicle life here is nothing like I imagined when I was in college. No excitement to be found. Friendships here are shallow. I don't get sick often but sometimes I need a "personal day". Those need to be planned weeks in advance not the night before. The recruiting team told me that they were a progressive company with a mom and pop culture. I had hoped to be able to work from home at least once in a while but that is not permitted here. There are a few exceptions though as they have remote developers all over the world but I was told not to pursue the whole work from home thing. The product idea is great but the development team is made up mostly from a bunch of old timers. That's not a bad thing but Cobol is dead I thought? They have a hard time moving past their ego and as a result the product is incredibly slow and cumbersome. They do have all you can drink coffee and thats really cool as I don't need to stop at Starbucks every morning.

Cons

There are some talented folks here at FairWarning but they won't be there much longer. They either come to realize that they are underpaid and unrecognized and leave, or they are fired for being too smart and letting everyone know that the product is broke, antiquated, and old. As others have said, read the reviews. Anything positive here is from a current employee who was manipulated into saying how great the company is. How else do you get 5 reviews in a month that are all five star with a staff of 100? I recently left FairWarning and am happy to report that the grass is greener elsewhere. Everyone is underpaid to such a point that they live paycheck to paycheck yet are forced to work long hours, weeknights, weekends, and not receive compensation for their efforts. The business development specialists (cold callers) and the Managed Privacy Services analysts (fake hackers) are the worst paid and we even have one person who lives in her car. Don't ask questions about why things don't work, you will be forced into the corner and never heard from again. They only want to hear how great the product is, how great it works, and how great the CEO is. Speak the truth and you will be silenced or fired. When I went through their hiring process everything they said was culture, culture, culture. The culture here is a joke and the nepotism will suck you dry. If you are even a remote friend of the CEO or his family we will hire you and pay you well.

It’s unfortunate you did not thrive here at FairWarning. We strive to make this a great workplace with an inclusive and progressive company culture. We’ve been voted a Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace for 6 years in a row and we are always trying to improve and maintain that status. We do have a policy that separates PTO and Vacation but we do this to encourage team members to take time off when they need it so they don’t have to use vacation time for personal reasons. We do ask for advanced notice if possible for vacation but we do understand that life happens which is why we grant PTO days off if you’re sick or have some sort of emergency. In terms of the product, we are always innovating and striving to make our product the best version possible. We have recently been named the #1 Patient Privacy Monitoring Solution according to Black Book (a 3rd party independent study, http://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/3772825.). We are extremely proud of this accomplishment and are going to continue to work to raise the bar in our industry. We benchmark team member salaries to make sure we are at or above the industry and area salary; we have a culture of hard work = reward and are consistently rewarding team members for their growth, accomplishments, and commitment to our mission. We’re extremely disturbed and upset to hear a team member is in hardship and potentially living in their car. We are CERTAIN if any of our managers were aware of this, they would have welcomed that team member into their home.

Pros

*Co-workers are tolerable and the job is easy(the pay is low) *Good location *Do not drug test *Hire people with no experience *also all the good reviews, is because the CEO makes his workers write reviews. pathetic

Cons

There is one BIG CON, The CEO is extremely rude. This is a private company, so you have to answer to him all the time. He is unavoidable and you will feel the negative presence he brings to the work environment. He is the main reason why I'm leaving, he has no regard for his co-workers and disrespects him like he owns them. If you want the experience because they hire people with no- experience ( bottom of the food chain) then do it and quit after a year. That's the best advice I can give you

We’re disappointed to hear you’re not thriving at FairWarning, this is not the case for most team members. We strive to provide a challenging environment and encourage you to speak with your manager if you’re not being challenged; this is a growing industry and there is always something new to learn. We are 100% unaware of anyone being made to write a review, whether it be positive or negative. We do encourage open and honest feedback which has in turn created some reviews on Glassdoor. Our CEO has an open door policy and encourages team members who have issues with him, or anyone else, to come and talk to him personally so things can be resolved. We encourage you to communicate your frustrations with your manager or the People Team so we can help properly address and potentially fix any issues you might be having.
