Pros

Good off time. Small company with lots of experience in oilfield sector. Processing and engineering have some cutting edge stuff. Barrier between aquisition's and processing is falling.

Cons

Oil industry is fickle. Aquisition's team is caught in between a rock and a hard place with new 4-D surveys. Alot of people do not know what other peoples jobs are on the boat.

Pros

As in most Marine Seismic Operations, time off is great. No hassle from office during time off the vessel. Benefits are really good. Great "foot in the door" to the seismic world. Lots of work in the the Gulf makes it easier to get to work as well as get home quickly if need be. Understanding to family needs if you need to leave the ship and ability to get you off (working the GoM). 99% of the people you work around on the ship are great.

Cons

Training opportunities are very few and very far between (even before the drop in oil prices). Transparency between office and offshore is lacking due to being a private company. Very Clicky with family ties. Seems like you have to have an upper management family member to make power moves with your career. Pay is slightly less than the Other Big seismic players.
