Pros

Lots of really good people who care about the company work there. Pretty decent benefits. Company will survive because of their mid-west heritage and roots....in spite of current management.

Cons

Has become very top-heavy at the Home Office Management level. Has had major management changes over past 5 years years.....not good! Current CMO is a my-way-or-the-highway guy.....and rules by fear for your job. When Wall Street realizes the stock price has been supported by expense reduction and not growth, and the Board realizes investors and employees will suffer.........but CEO and his cronies will walk with big money and destroy another company. Typical !!

Good and bad and ugly

Pros

Good income to start. No boss sort of.

Cons

Income slowly vanishes as you have trouble keeping up with underwriting cancelling accounts and trying to sell enough overpriced life insurance to stay afloat. Also , Don't tell me i'm a business owner once second then threaten me if i don't use your sales practices. Which is it? Am i an employee or a 1099 contractor? You can't have it both ways!

Pros

Some of the employees in the trenches with you are wonderful.

Cons

From mid management level all the way to the top are out for them selves and will pat you on the back to find your soft spot. Keep looking over your shoulder at all times.
