Pros

When you make some interesting or exciting design work and the customers are thrilled by it is a truly great feeling. Also when you make and install something that looks so impressive. Health insurance and 401K at the location I work at. Have worked here for 10 years, so stable employment.

Cons

Most locations are small, and upward movement can therefore only go so far. Great for young people starting out, but doesn't create enough growth for better opportunities.

Pros

Getting to learn how to do most everything in large scale sign printing and production from design to completion.

Cons

Depending on the store, you get owners who have lost touch with reality and still think it's the 90s. Compensation and benefits are practically nonexistent and you better be ready to be the cheap owner's handyman for just about everything (repairing stuff you're not trained to as an example). Dead end job ideal for high schoolers.
