Pros
Some of the people are nice--some.
Cons
If you have never been a faculty member at any other college, you would not know this. This is NOT a real faculty job. It's a staff job with teaching responsibilities. Normally (and one of the great things about being faculty elsewhere) is that you get time off to recharge). When the students are gone, you are gone. Not at FTCC. You get the same time off that the staff does. Except summer, but you don't get paid for it. So, that means sitting at a cubical (yes, a cubical like a telemarketer-not an office) for weeks before and after a semester. No midterm breaks! Eight hours per day doing nothing. You have sick days?!? Never had that before. At ANY other college, if you are sick, you post a sign and/or find a colleague to take your class. Not here--they just docked your pay.
