Cons

Feeding Hungry people in America after spending the money unnecessarily. Paying higher management 6 figures, giving them 5 figure bonus. Feeding America where we feed the hungry but the minorities are not treated equal. Where bulling is tolerated > Language that frightens, Humiliates, belittles or degrades staff >Regularly making someone the blunt of your practical jokes > Spreading innuendo in a malicious nature > Purposely overloading a person with work > Unfair treatment to minorities Feeding America where they claim to care. HR in partnership with Feeding America for the bullying.

Fantastic place until/unless the politics reach you

Pros

Competitive pay grade, fun culture, highly intelligent people, flexible work locations. Really loved the people I met there. I was given a lot of responsibility and learned a great deal. Invaluable experience.

Cons

Politics create internal alliances and unfortunately drive business decisions, including the hiring and firing of people. Very difficult to grow there for this reason. Not a cohesive organization, and not everyone can be trusted. Talented new hires are sometimes undermined by longer-standing employees who are threatened by their success. Difficult to stay long term if you have ambitions to grow and get promoted.

Lower-level staff is intelligent, dedicated, and truly invested in the work

Cons

That same momentum that is cultivated at the lower-level is stifled by inept upper level leadership. VPs are happy to plan and strategize endlessly without ever executing, because once activity starts there is opportunity to fail. Management style prioritizes communication that is contradictory and withholding. It's like pulling teeth to get the information required to complete any project and employees with proactive approaches, or who take initiative are vilified. Leaders scrutinize, micromanage, and undercut their employees. Any form of respectful dissent is stifled and ignored. Intelligent and capable staff, who have a lot to offer the organization long-term, are leaving prematurely.
