-great mission -good benefits and pto policy -decent salary

Cons

-i thought my salary was good until i realized how much c-suite and executive team makes -HR does not care about lower level employees, even when they repeatedly ask for help -strategic mission keeps changing and is not in line with what staff (the people that execute the mission) or food banks (the network we are trying to support) want -keeps people in poverty. stop taking huge donations from companies like walmart, and instead try to fix the system so walmart employees aren't paid minimum wage and have to be on SNAP themselves.

Pros

Feeding people. Too bad they don't actually do that, but instead take credit for local organizations doing the work.

Cons

Lacks strategy and structure with senior leadership disconnected from reality, including the CEO and VPs not even working at HQ. Mixed messages abound, with conflicting direction from new execs who have no idea what food banking is. Tenured leadership are self-impressed has beens, just doing the minimum necessary to collect hefty salaries without actually doing any work. Zero diversity in leadership positions.

You leave every day, knowing you made a positive difference in the lives of hungry Americans. It really feels good

Cons

They choose some really poor leadership. Some positions have little to no supervision and get away with doing almost no work, even when they manage their own department
