Pros

lots of fun, awesome people, bring your pets to work. if you're in the right department the supervisors will be great and really supportive. casual environment where you can dress comfortably. on your birthday you get a gift card, which is really cool. that will probably stop as we grow larger though.

Cons

the company cuts a lot of corners that makes the jobs of lower level employees who deal directly with customers/claims very difficult. so many mistakes are made because the systems don't work, there's no accountability for anyone, and we run off of spreadsheets. the priorities here are weird. they say customers are the focus but there's little to no communication between departments and it results in an inconsistent customer experience. stop paying thousands of dollars a month in food and dog shaped paper clips and give people little raises. they would rather have things 'look pretty' than make employees happy. employees brought in from the outside (usually for higher positions) seem to be paid much higher than people promoted from within because most starting salaries are extremely low to begin with so pay % increases for promotions can't compete. typical 'get your experience and get out' deal. HR doesn't explain this to people though and they're hired with false expectations of career advancement. This leads to employees being unhappy in the long run. news flash: for anything above basic positions the company is more interested in hiring from the outside right now. no clear advancement paths. little room to grow. pay grades for positions are random and made up. HR stuff seem like a nightmare. if you make a complaint/have an issue you're probably out of luck. they're probably just overworked and underpaid like the rest of us.
