Pros

Petplan has a famously pet friendly office, both the office and campus are bright and beautiful, the employee candy and food supplies are plentiful, and the location is close to the Main Line and all its high end conveniences. The customer service call center is so polite and efficient, its really not fair to call it a "call center". They are also growing so rapidly, qualified candidates with a good attitude have a very good chance at getting job offers, especially for entry level positions in the call center.

Cons

It's easy to see why there is so much money to spend on food and decor when the salaries are so much lower than industry average. A seemingly endless supply of candy, custom ice cream, and Panera would be easier to enjoy if the saleries were competitive. It's great of your employer provides you with food, it's not great when you pig out at work as a way to make necessary cost cuts to grocery bills at home. Overtime and incentive pay are frequently offered, but often with little notice. How are you to manage work versus home life when any day, you can get an incentive offer for tonight only. I've backed out of many nights of plans to jump at the opportunity, though I wish I didn't have to in order to supplement my salary. Many employees are hired with a vague timeline of new projects and promotions to look forward to, but when the grand plans never come to fruition, most are left to wallow in underpaid mediocrity, or seek new employment. No official promises are made at the time of hire, but it feels very "bait and switch".

Good for some, bad for others.

Pros

Decent benefits (although they pay a smaller percent of the benefits every year), PTO is great, lots of food and parties, relaxed in terms of dress code, pets in the office.

Cons

Pay is low. Much lower than the industry average. Management could really benefit by taking management classes. Communication is lacking. You will get two completely different answers on how to proceed depending on which manager you ask. The company is growing rapidly which is wonderful for job security - but there is often a huge push for employees to work a large amount of overtime. Not a great understanding of work / home life balance. When you are hired you are told there will be lots of opportunities to advance as the company grows - this is generally not true.

Pros

Perks, teammates, making a difference! I get to bring my beloved to work, which really helps release stress!!

Cons

We really lack diversity; it seems like we are only interested in a homogeneous atmosphere. I am unsure if it is by happenstance or management preference, but it makes me a bit uncomfortable.
