Pros

Pleasant people to work with, great work life balance.

Cons

Behind on technology and seem uncomfortable with the idea of international clientele. There is little opportunity for advancement. Forget about a raise...

great vision and values that upper management drives

pressured daily for sales results, even with a large pipeline; management focuses on sales results instead of career development for consistent and proven top performers; annual decreases in bonus compensation

Pros

The branch I worked in was very friendly and I had a positive experience there. I worked in this position for about a year and a half before graduating college. It was ONLY positive because of the select few people I worked with.

Cons

Throughout my time in a retail branch, I spent a lot of time applying for positions within the company for after graduation (with a bachelors degree in finance). The HR team was HORRIBLE about replying to these applications. I never heard responses. Fifth Third is too big for anyone to hear your opinions. Our branch was old and worn out. The company REFUSED to get us anything new (chairs, printers, shredders, etc.) They are all about SALES, SALES, SALES. If they claim to be customer-focused, that is the biggest lie I have ever heard. The benefits are mediocre and definitely not competitive with the industry. The pay is a complete joke for the amount of work you do. The turnover rate is ridiculous for a reason. After working here for a year and a half, I received a raise of 11 CENTS...yes, 11 cents. And that was for a 4.5 rating out of 5. That was a slap in the face. The company does not give promotional opportunities unless it's to benefit them. They're so stingy about everything and strict about time off. I can not express this enough...DO NOT WORK HERE.
