They do pay for check-outs and diag as anyone should. .1 to get in vehicle and pull it in(courtesy check). .3 for brake check, basic checks.

Cons

They start you off low as far as per flat rate pay then are stingy on increases. Typical corporate greed. They are major contributors to the state of the most abused profession in the skilled work industry: Automotive Technician

Good benefits but extreme micromanagement and toxic culture

They have good medical benefit options

Cons

Use to good place to work, those days are gone. Micromanagement to the extreme. They keep some store extremely short-staffed yet expect them to meet or exceed inflated budget numbers. They changed Service Manager bonus a few years ago so a lot of Service Managers lost 15-20% of annual income. Micromanagement, constant threats of disciplinary action and high pressure sales tatics has turned stores into toxic work environments.
