Company has tons of potential, but too many weak managers that have zero skills at managing people

Amazing CEO, truly cares about employees more than profits.

Cons

Terrible middle management, poor oversight from VP level staff. HR is a joke, especially the HR managers. They really could care less about you as a person. Poor systems in place for career advancement. Unfortunately, the technology is severely lacking too. Pay was very low based on the number of direct reports I had. Big imbalance in pay from managers with direct reports and those without. They actually pay you more if you are an analyst without any direct reports.

I'm sorry that your overall experience with HR was poor, we definitely want our employee interactions with the HR team to be positive. We made pay grades available for all employees to view towards the end of 2014. We continue to regularly evaluate roles to ensure leveling is in line with both our overall compensation philosophy as well as competitive to ensure we are able to both attract and retain top talent. The positive reviews that have shown up here are a joke. Management response to negative reviews are a joke. This company is led by bullies who think intimidation is the way to reach their goals. Every negative comment is absolutely true, and believe me the moral, the hostile environment, the threats to your job, the constant and ridiculous changes make this a horrible place to work. Take heed.

Not any where near close to Employer of Choice

Work place was close to my home, and members great to work with.

Cons

My trust in First Tech is broken. As said in other reviews all retail leadership positions are being appointed to B of A previous employees being brought over from a friend who is a regional director. Politics are extremely cut throat and executive leadership intentionally wants to create "anxiety" in employees as a motivation tactic to either perform or quit. Meanwhile they are very concerned with employee satisfaction, focusing on employees for one week right ahead of the survey expecting positive results. My hope is staff are truly candid and it will somehow open someone's eyes that things absolutely need to change. There is such a sense of fear right now that it is very likely staff will not be honest in fear of losing their jobs.
