Pros

First few months were great. Benefits were ok. Deposit Ops/Card Services were my lifesavers when I started.

Cons

Got new management end of 2018, everything started going down the drain. Constantly on my back with everything even when I tried my best and worked the hardest, every day was a drag coming in to work. I don't want to be a part of a team that doesn't support me and helps me grow. Tell someone one thing, they go, twist my words and cause drama between people. I feel like I only had support from 3 people, 2 people went to different positions, the last person had so much pressure, they ended up leaving. Training needs work, I was left in the dust to learn on my own. Company is not member centered anymore, all about sales

We had our annual Branch Managers meeting last month and a senior director told all of us. 1. That we choose to work in this position. 2. Our credit union has chosen to change the way we run our branches. 3. It is your choice to stay in the position or move on. All of our middle & upper management in retail has come over from Bank of America. What has changed in the last year is that we are doing everything we did at BOA 10 years ago and we are no BOA. They are trying to micromanage everything and hoping that underperforming employees leave the company. Only performing employees are leaving due to lack of quarterly bonus and the micromanaging. The focus is only on our numbers and they are using L/P/D as smoking mirrors. Every conference call should not end with performance matter if we truly care about our members.

Terrible IT Management

Pros

Product Discounts, Time Off, work from home, but that's mostly because management doesn't care if you show up or not.

Cons

The IT Department is pathetic from the top down, minus a few great employees. Management offers zero direction, the skill set of 90% of the employees is average at best. The highest level of IT management in the company calls First Tech "A technology company that also does banking" The only problem with that is nobody is willing to do anything except what they have always done. You cant be a technology company when the company is stuck in 2005.
