Pros

Management was pleasant as were male employees I worked with. Was very fair when I had a work related injury.

Cons

Management did nothing when I complained about treatment from one of the cashier supervisors. Refused to abide by my availability. I was in college at the time and the scheduler kept scheduling me while I was in class and then I had to find someone to work for me during that time.

Pros

The store is fun from a merchandise standpoint and you get to interact with many different customers. Other than that?

Cons

Bad training. Poor management. An atmosphere of paranoia. The place has specific and rigid rules that are stifling and soul crushing. If you punch in five minutes early or go over your lunch period by two minutes, you get a sit down with the manager telling you about it. It is a good place to shop but a mindless place to work. The employees are like robots and there is no place to use your mind in a place like that. Terrible training and you are thrown to the wolves so to speak. If you have a question, you are treated like an inconvenience.

Pros

Working with co-workers and (most) customers is fun. The job is fairly straight forward and engaging. Management is fairly flexible with schedules. A raise is available after one year.

Cons

Management is VERY strict about shoving promotions and scripts down the customer's throat. Starting pay is minimum wage. There are so many lines we have to say as cashiers that I hardly get to spend any actual quality time with the customer. There are a couple managers who seem to find it satisfying when people are afraid of them. There is little respect for employees. SO many rules! The cameras are obviously to watch the employees, not the customers.
