Great team work environment to work in.

Cons

In the general Canadian job market, Flight Centre is seen as a retail operation whereas its competitors such as Carlson Wagon, BCD or Amex Travel have a much stronger brand recognition and regard than F.C.

Pros

Having only worked at the company for a relatively short period, I have been encouraged and supported throughout my career progression and could not have acheived what I have anywhere else. I enjoy coming to work and feel valued as an employee. The rewards reflect the hard work you put in.

Cons

There can be stressful, busy times and IT isn't the most efficient and up-to-date. The uniform needs to be re-vamped.

Pros

Fantastic colleagues and general team morale. And being such a large company, there are loads of opportunities to move up in retail, First and Business, accounting, up into Head Office and more. BOF (Brightness Of Future) is a huge thing here and the company do an awful lot to keep employees interested and feeling special. We also get amazing incentives and area/national conferences and balls. This is a really great company to work for.

Cons

You need to be very good at time management. Those reading through various reviews will see many employees feel they work a lot of over time. The great thing is the odd hour here and there do not matter if you have your sights on more commission! You get out of this job what you put in, definitely.
