Pros

The mission at Flock is tremendous and it's easy to see why the company is successful. Internally, the people on the team, the ones actually doing the work, are fantastic. They’re talented, supportive, and genuinely care about getting things done right.

Cons

Unfortunately, leadership leaves much to be desired. There’s a clear sense of favoritism, and it’s not something that’s hidden or subtle. Opportunities, recognition, and communication often seem to depend more on personal relationships than performance or contribution. It’s disappointing because with fair and consistent leadership, this could be an outstanding place to work.

Pros

- Mission - Flock is one of the few places to work where you can tangibly see the impact of your work in the community. A lot of companies have a mission that feels a bit more like a marketing buzzword than a true objective. Every single department and person here has a serious intent to make the world a better place through ethical technology, and few things beat that feeling when answering your "Why" - Unbelievable Growth - The level of talent that exists and is constantly added to this company is unmatched. Few companies reach the sweet spot of growth and culture that Flock is in full stride with, and it's a workplace that comes with some real-time nostalgia because of how special the environment is. - Culture - Remote companies have an incredible difficult time maintaining great office culture, but thanks to the highly collaborative nature of our work, you're constantly surrounded by fantastic people and get to build lasting relationships, even if you're the only employee in your city. I can't speak to what the in office culture is like as I'm remote myself. - Compensation and Recognition - As a sales professional, it's rare that everything you were told in the interview process comes to fruition once you're in the role. Flock is my first exception. It is extremely hard work, but you truly get out what you put in. You are met with attentive leaders that focus on personal development while obtaining kpi's, and the financial opportunities have an extremely high ceiling in any role.

Cons

- Speed - We fully embody hypergrowth. If you're not willing to have an extremely agile and fast-paced environment, Fock may not be the best for you. Luckily, you're surrounded by problem solvers and leaders that emphasize rest and recovery, but it's not to say that it's not a grind. In that same vein, you can't grow at a rate this fast and not be met with constant challenges. Finding the balance between standardization and autonomy is extremely difficult, but no one should join a Startup without that expectation.
