      Poor Sales Leadership

      High-turnover environment! Despite sales numbers being met, a meddling co-founder assigns herself to sales opportunities at random intervals. She tries to micro-manage people who do not directly report to her, using broad and verbose philosophy that carries minimal value to sales process. Sales leadership and other executives do not question her, for unknown reasons. My previous supervisor, who initially supported me in leading up sales efforts, had essentially flip-flopped and became a personal critic ever since. It all began one day when the co-founder remarked how I should be her "personal assistant." Lots of political BS. Not a culture of skill, instead a culture of loyalty and rampant ego. My main regret is that I didn't leave the company sooner.

      Great people, great leader, the rest is...

      Pros

      1.) Great people to work work with. 2.) the CEO is fantastic! She really is a beacon of hope and a genuinely amazing person. Its sucks that everything else overshadows this aspect. 3.) Kombucha and cold brew on tap

      Cons

      1.) Product. Honestly its horribly designed and hard to get users engaged. Anyone that isn’t an engineer or pm can tell you how to make it better. 2.) Leadership. Some folks are natural manager and some really aren’t. Plain and simple. 3.) Cliques. Older Fluxxers are more inclined for promotions and awards vs newer Fluxxers. Lots of biased toward people who are “it” very those that aren’t. This isn’t high school anymore... 4.) Work Hours for some teams. Before anyone says “Well its a startup” sure, but working till 1-3am isn’t what people signup for... 5.) Clientele. Honestly, if your passion isn’t in foundations and non profits OR have worked in thar space, don’t bother. 6.) Everything else. Lots of mis-management, incorrect vision, ways to downplay you, no progression on career, passive aggressive tendencies by bad managers...etc

      Thank you for the feedback. We are very much focused on improving the usability as our goal is to not just solve their problems, but delight the customer as well. We will continue to work in this area and have recently hired a UX person to lead that charge. We are also hiring from the sector and will continue to do so. Please tay tuned for an upcoming announcement to lead Support and Customer Success that does just that. As for management training, we have done some in 2018 and will continue to invest in this area going forward.       Getting better everyday.

      Pros

      Sales culture is amazing. We recently got a new sales leader that has been able to install a new sales process that is working. Anyone on the team is available to collaborate on a project or just talk strategy. Pipelines are growing quickly. I love it here.

      Cons

      We are staring to outgrow our office space so getting a conference room can be challenging. Sometimes we run out of Arizona Ice Tea.
