Pros

The best reason to work at Footlocker honestly is the employee discount and first dibs on shoes IF your manager allows.

Cons

The pay at this company is HORRID. Whoever says it isn't is lying to your face. The pay x expectations is just terrible. As an assistant I made $8.75 plus 2% commission. You might see the commission on your check and you might not. As an assistant I dealt with conversion, add on sales, doing morning paperwork every morning, conference calls while the store was busy, closing paperwork, Tues & Thurs shipment by myself until someone came into work in the afternoon to help (shipment could consist of 30-90 cases). Stock room management, sunday payroll processing, weekly window display changes etc before even thinking about dealing with customers. This job wears on you mentally and it takes forever to move up within the company. I believe that the only people in this company are the one's that settle and are just to lazy to look for something new. You also deal with transfers that you aren't told of until they happen and you either accept or take a demotion. No matter how you leave the company, resign giving your 2 weeks or mutual agreement you are listed as un-rehireable out of spite. This company is great for children that like shoes but not for an adult looking to make a living

Pros

Employee Discount at Champs, FL, Foot Action, CCS, and Ladies FL, easier chance of getting new releases, see new shoes before they drop, ability to make more than minimum wage, one of the only places you can wear athletic shoes, loose fitting uniform (Dri-Fit T shirt and grey cargo shorts), Positive environment

Cons

Base pay is less than minimum wage, often times low hours, won't know next week's schedule until the Thursday beforehand, often short (3-hour) shifts, not enough employees working at busy times; too many for slow times

Pros

Some teams are remote, though not sure for how much longer now that they're opening a new NYC HQ

Cons

I cannot stress this enough: Do NOT work in Corporate Communications at Foot Locker. Turnover is insane, and at least four of the jobs in the last year have not been backfilled. The people left to pick up the pieces are not being properly compensated or promoted, and growth is non-existent. Multiple team members (6+) have reported the toxic, hostile, and discriminatory work environment on this team to executive leadership, employee relations, and HR. These reports have been escalated all the way up to top directly and multiple times by multiple people, and ZERO action has been taken.
