Impactful work with great team and benefits, but disorganized at times

Pros

Team members were so sweet and talented. Impactful work that displays major change in the right communities. Pay was decent and benefits were unbeatable. PTO policy when I was there was fantastic (unlimited and at least on my team, not hard to enjoy and get approved) Remote first policy made for flexibility that allowed for better work-life balance.

Cons

A bit disorganized at times, time structure and onboarding were not well done. Should have diversified their portfolio quite some time ago,

Pros

Fully remote with a short vesting period.

Cons

Stressful culture that includes excessive micromanagement of junior staff. Pay will not increase quickly. If you are a fresh graduate, it could provide the experience you need to land another position.

Pros

Corporate leadership seems to be transparent and genuine. The same cannot be said for the leadership under the MRR Division which holds the JAMRS contract.

Cons

While Fors Marsh does meaningful external work, internal challenges significantly impact the employees. Compensation is not competitive, and there is limited transparency around pay decisions. Leadership accountability is inconsistent, with program-level challenges often attributed to junior staff. Additionally, performance management is sometimes used as a mechanism to avoid compensation increases, even for strong contributors. These issues contribute to low morale and retention challenges. I left the company some time ago, and know these are persistent issues. I didn’t realize how miserable and unprofessional the leadership was until I joined a highly respected company.
