Pros

Some of the negative reviews are strange. They refer to a parent company that is publicly traded. Fortera is a not for profit credit union. It is also the best career decision I could have made for myself and my family. As a female in leadership, it's a breath of fresh air to work for a company that understands the importance of providing benefits like paid maternity and paternity leave. The CEO has birthday and anniversary lunches with team members, and she genuinely cares about the people who work at Fortera. Look at their google reviews and see how great the employees are and how happy the members are.

Cons

There aren't as many opportunities to move into higher level leadership roles as there are at a big bank. As they continue to grow, the plan is to add more, but sometimes it's hard for people to not be tempted to go someplace else.

I truly believe the advantages of working here are endless. Our benefits package is both comprehensive and affordable, and we offer competitive salaries. Work-life balance is a clear priority for our leadership team, and team member feedback is not only welcomed—it’s regularly sought out. Growth and development are strongly supported, with numerous internal promotions just in the past year. We’re always looking for new ways to celebrate our team and our members while continuing to simplify processes, move faster, and improve together.

Cons
