Pros

I have never worked for an employer as generous and accommodating as Fortera Credit Union. They go above and beyond to keep employees happy which is extremely challenging in this day and age. I think that is noteworthy because most companies have a tendency to put profits and/or shareholders first with very little regard for overall employee satisfaction. The benefits are amazing, and employees are recognized for their hard work regularly. They even front load 40 hours of PTO at beginning of the year which is almost unheard of in my experience working at other credit unions. I honestly can't think of a better place to work and grow in my career!

Fortera has a great company culture, starting at the top with leadership that cares deeply about the staff and their needs. They provide amazing benefits and opportunities for advancement. They are also committed to the community and provide opportunities for paid volunteer time.

Working here was the worst experience of my professional life. I was completely misled about everything from company culture, leadership, great opportunities, and stability. It turns out that everything is the opposite of what I was told. Instead of growing, the company is shrinking, and they hire and fire employees without valid reasons. The leadership team's conduct was shameful and a complete disgrace. Overall, this is a toxic workplace that will drain your energy and sanity.
